The Big Church Day Out in Sussex had a big surprise! The Mayor of Worthing turned up! Politicians aren't exactly the flavour of the month at the moment. But he was was up for being prayed for by the 14,000 people who were there on the 24th May. What was more amazing, he was also up for being supported by the crowd - literally! If ever there was an acted parable of how we should support our politicians, this was it...Crowd surfing on his back! The apostle Paul in writing to Timothy said this: 'I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone - for kings and all those in authority...' (1 Timothy 2:1,2). Pray up people!
