Swallows & Psalms
It was a very interesting time at Quob last Sunday. The stables in Durley held an open day in which the Christian theme of 'Hope' was heavily promoted. My contribution was doing Psalm readings and I was able to read the first 63 in a dramatic way to bypassers from my spot in stable 6. Some folk stood and listened. Some came in and remarked how appropriate to them the passage was I read. It was only after I had finished my stint that I was made aware of the pictured attraction next to me in stable 5 : five baby swallows in a nest! And then how Psalm 84:3,4 spoke to me: 'Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young - a place near your altar, O LORD Almighty, my King and my God. Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising You.'

Glimpses of Heaven
Since around the middle of May, church is like never before. Of course, I've only been here ten months, so I am sure there have been times past when folk can recount God moving in a new way. Through many and various channels God's Spirit is moving in renewal and revival. We are seeing glimpses of heaven as the kingdom of heaven breaks into our lives. Words fail to express the 'atmosphere of heaven' we are currently breathing in - so you better come and see for yourself!....
